Lovable loser Alan Blakely has a black thumb. Whatever he touches dies . . . in horribly ironic ways. Environmentalist Starr is crushed by a falling tree; hypochondriac Lisa is attacked by geese, and dies of anaphylactic shock; Canadian fling Martha freezes to death when winter hits Toronto in August; slutty doorknob Michelle drowns while . . . well, let's just say she was underwater in a less-than-Christian situation. Breaking up is the kiss of death. As the bodies pile up, the police begin to wonder if Alan is the victim of an unfortunate series of events, or if something more nefarious is afoot. And now Alan is beginning to wonder himself as he searches for answers that will save his own life . . . and hopefully Jess's, who is really starting to get on his nerves. © 2011 - Jeff Fielder |
